Starting at the heart of it all is the intercooler core. We utilize a bar and plate type core that is taller, thicker, and wider than OEM.
A height increase of 18% and a length increase of 20% gives ample room for an improvement in power and torque without sacrificing the bottom end. We tested a variety of different core densities to keep pressure loss through the core as low as possible. At less than 0.5psi across the core means you get almost the same amount of boosted air going out as you did coming in. That’s crucial.
Moving on, the OEM plastic intercooler tanks had to go. They were not going to be able to hold the levels of boost that we were going to be throwing at our project cars. With our GIN Turbo upgrade, tuning, and exhaust system among other things we knew that it would only be a matter of time before these cars start seeing close to 400+ WHP so we wanted to make sure we laid the groundwork for all that future power.
Of all parts that make up this project, the end tanks have the most unique design enhancements. Vortex generators, passive heat sinks and integrated air foils are all incorporated into the end tanks for the absolute best cooling potential. What are those?

The intercooler itself is only half the battle. Getting boosted air in and out of the core is just as important and we spent a good amount of time there as well.
The OEM rubber hoses got ditched in favor of wire reinforced 4 ply silicone. The added strength from the wire coil means you don’t get any flex or deformation from the extra boost while still retaining the flexibility you need in your piping system. Stainless Steel T-bolt clamps tie everything together to ensure a leak proof seal on your kit.
Speaking of kit, a front mount intercooler kit is not a “kit” if it doesn't come with everything you need for a seamless install. On top of the core, pipes, and clamps you will get all the needed fittings, hardware, and brackets to make sure everything fits in like OEM. Let’s also quickly talk about those pipes we just mentioned. This is not just some FMIC core with end tanks we crafted, although that would be a great upgrade.
We went a step ahead and included a complete charge pipe upgrade kit in this package.
Yes, you get everything with this kit, like a larger 2.75 inch cold side hard pipe along with multiple hot and cold side boost tubes designed with the 4-ply silicone we just mentioned above. Sick!
All this adds up to a system that can produce over 20 WTQ and 15 WHP just bolting it on!
