The team here at 27WON believes that function and form can indeed coexist and today with the release of our aftermarket performance coolant tank we add proof to that pudding yet again. Our upgraded aluminum tank fits multiple models of 10th and 11th Generation Civics so if you have a 2016 - 2021 1.5T Civic Non-Si/Si, 2017+ Type R like the FK8 or FL5 or the latest 2023+ Integra Type S, keep reading.

Here’s the thing. The OEM tank is rather ugly.

That dull plastic in the corner is an eye sore. Its eggshell does not age well and dulls and fades over time. We resolved that with a 100% aluminum construction tank that is capped off with durable high temp black finish so that it lasts the life of your vehicle. No concerns with fading over time.

Aluminum was used to both save weight and because it can handle the pressure. Your coolant tank is always under pressure and filled with some very HOT liquid that you don’t want spilling out into the engine bay. That can be both messy and very dangerous. Strong TIG welds all around and steel fittings make sure that the coolant stays in your tank and nowhere else.

**The OEM coolant cap is actually a really solid piece.**

Very reliable and they nearly never fail so our unit reuses your stock cap to save you some $$$ and make sure everything works just like OE. That being said we still wanted to spruce it up so we are packing up this coolant tank with a sweet new sticker that you can place on top of your OEM cap to complete the look.

In our last blog we shared with you our goal to have a fully leak proof system that would not give you any trouble down the road. In order to achieve that we couldn’t have any unnecessary connection points on the tank that could leak so that meant no plastic sight glasses. We know these are popular but we think there is a better way.

Our unique dipstick is included to you as part of this whole package and is one of our ways to REDEFINE coolant tanks. You can wear it on your keychain, stash it in the glovebox, or mount it almost anywhere with the included holster

Simply wait till the coolant has cooled down to a safe temperature and remove the cap. Stick in our precisely machined dipstick and pull it back out to take a reading of the coolant. Our CNC machined grooves will tell you if you are low on fluid or if all is perfect. It's a simple and sure fire way to always be on top of your fluids.

Awesome color, solid construction, and longer working life are the big three for this coolant tank and are what make it a must have upgrade for your Civic, especially as it gets older.

And on a final note, Honda rolled the 10th Gen coolant tank forward to the FL5 Type R and DE5 Type S. Almost right out the gate, there were reports of the OE tank failing. With just a couple tweaks, we were pleased to add these latest applications to the mix.
