Honda Civic Type R catback hits the streets

We are pleased to announce that our catback exhaust system for the 2017+ Honda Civic Type R (FK8) is now shipping. 

This is our biggest product drop for the CTR to date. Our rear engine mount and boost tubes are the other Type R products we’ve released so far. 80mm piping, V-band flanges, and side branch resonators are just a few of the key attributes that make this the best system you can bolt on underneath your ride. Lets recap below just exactly what you are treating your 10th gen too. 

Unlike all the other exhaust kits on the market, the 27WON unit is the only true 3” system. What do we mean by true 3 inch? Pipe is measured on the outside diameter so your “3-inch” system is more like 2.8 inches. With a 3.125” OD we are the only ones to offer you a 3” inner diameter to make sure you get the best performance from your car.

Speaking of performance, our catback is one of the few that is backed up with real horsepower and torque figures. On average we see 11whp and 16 wtq gains just by bolting it on. Add a custom tune and you are sure to see more (tune not required after install but always encouraged).

Most of the “bigger” exhaust systems start with a huge neck down to be able to mate up to your factory components. We don’t think this is worthy of the Type R. You are only as strong as your weakest link and that small 2-inch hole is not doing your car any favors. That's why we made sure this system has no step-downs, reductions, or anything of the sort. How did we do this? By including a front pipe with every kit. That's right you are getting a full exhaust system from the downpipe all the way back, 80mm end to end.

Last but not least, an exhaust system has to sound good. We incorporated a large forward resonator and tuned side branch resonators for a system that gives you one of the least drone filled cabins out there. Enjoy the roar when you mash it and a mellow tone when you cruise.
