V3…On the 27WON SI, 2017+ Civic SI Performance Exhaust Pt.5

Our last update for the Honda Civic SI Exhaust gave you just a tease of the V3 tip design that we have been working on. If you recall we left you with these images below as just a taste of our newest flavor.

Today…we are ready to share more with you. Let’s check out the V3 27WON design for the SI Sedan.

BUT…not quite yet…patience is a virtue remember?

Since our last update, we’ve been busy integrating the V3 tip design with the unique 27WON dual-chamber and side-branch resonator “axle-back section” of the exhaust. We’ve had to get creative as the V3 tips don’t simply connect with round pipe. Instead we’ve developed a laser cut, formed, and welded “camber” to connect the tips to the 63.5mm piping.

100% stainless steel, tig welded, laser cut flanges, specific exhaust tuning for the L15 turbo engine. We made sure to think of everything for you guys.

Recently we released a new sound teaser of our V3 27WON SI sedan exhaust. In the video below that 2018 SI is equipped with our full 27WON turbo-back in a cat-less configuration. One of the unique things about our exhaust components is that they are not just built to fit well and perform great but the fact that we actually spend many hours of R&D tuning the sound. Our time and development in testing out various pipe diameter, resonators type, and side-branch tube lengths allows us to finely tune the exhaust note to make a tone that is tailored specifically to the modern L15 which is both a turbocharged and direct injection engine with cam phasing. All those aspects of a modern engines mechanics have a direct effect on exhaust noise and we made sure to take all of that into consideration.

The teaser gave you guys and gals a little bit of a view. The video did too but it was awfully dark and truth be told we wanted you to be focused on the tasteful acoustics… but will stop making you wait now.

Unlike anything else on the market today, the 27WON V3 exhaust tips truly integrate with the bumper cutout and combine together in one euphoric design.
