SOUND ON - 11th generation Honda Civic Si Exhaust Now Available From 27WON
You likely came across this blog in search of the best-sounding aftermarket exhaust system (watch that sound clip if you missed it) for the 2022+ Honda Civic Si. Well lucky you; you just found it. :)
We are excited to announce the release of our brand new exhaust system for the 11th gen FE1 Civic Si.
This is a 100% brand new system from 27WON designed from the ground up! With fitment and sound tuned specifically for this compact sports sedan and turbo VTEC engine, we aimed to make this exhaust setup the best fitting, best sounding and best-looking kit for your Civic Si.
Let’s start from the beginning. Like all the things we create here at 27WON, we start by first understanding how the OEM part works. Check out our OE Exhaust Breakdown Design Blog if you want to better understand the 11th gen Si OEM system. We dissect its inner workings. All things considered, it’s a well-thought-out and designed system from the factory. It fits well, looks okay, and sounds decent.
The first order of business from a performance standpoint was making our system larger in diameter and smoother.
Check out Design Blog Part 2. The diameter of the OEM system shrinks and grows between 50mm and 58mm in size throughout the entirety of the system. Not great for performance. We bumped that up to 63.5mm from end to end with no step-downs or reductions. This helps decrease back-pressure and promote more flow.
Next up was material selection.
We went with what has been a tried and true material from our 10th generation family of turbo-back exhaust systems and that is T304 Stainless Steel. This is a widely used and consistently high-performing version of Stainless Steel. It welds easy, has a high level of corrosion resistance and it looks amazing in our brushed finish.
Take a look for yourself.
For shipping and handling purposes, all aftermarket exhaust systems from performance vendors are shipped to you in a bunch of pieces. It's important that once you get your system, it bolts up to your car easily and that when it's all put together, it’s leak free.
To aid in that process, we use thick 3-bolt flanges. This makes installation a breeze and ensures nearly a zero percent chance your system will leak once torqued to spec. Just say no to slip joint fittings! You won’t see any from 27WON.
FYI, the outside packaging that your exhaust comes in is designed to lay perfectly flat after you open it making it an ideal working mat ;)
For a deep sound, a pair of dual phase resonators are used at the rear of the exhaust and finished off with a pair of our signature 100mm tips.
This gives the car a nice deep sound and one that we believe really works well with the single turbo GDi engines in our Hondas.
Even better is that we give you several options when you purchase our exhaust.
You have the option to buy this system in 1 of 3 ways. Either as a front-pipe back only, including a front-pipe or as a full turbo-back exhaust system with our 3-inch downpipe. Now, that is how we like it. Options!
Want a true “no sacrifices” system for your ride? Go with the full turbo-back system and leave no questions on how performance-oriented you are.
Not ready for a full commitment and want something tamer? Well, then the front-pipe back-only version is for you. Remember, you can always upgrade your system down the line with the addition of our front pipe or downpipe. Alternatively, if you want some extra power without modifying the tone as much you can always just purchase a new front pipe or down-pipe as a stand-alone item.
