RMM Relaunches with Street and Race Versions

A few months ago we proposed a question to you in a blog. We asked you if we brought in a lower cost alternative to our very popular billet rear engine mount would you be interested? You guys left us hundreds of comments and messages and this relaunch is the result of your voice being heard.

While our question was geared to see if the community would be interested in saving some dough, we got a number of requests for a “softer/less-aggressive” poly option.

Up until now, our high-performing billet engine mount was offered with only 90A durometer poly bushings. 90A was selected from both a performance and durability perspective. We knew that it would perform the best and eliminate the most amount of wheel hop. While the on-track performance of this mount is great, it is just a bit too much NVH for some people on the street. Some 10th gen owners are not tracking their cars regularly and wanted a mount that could offer good performance on the street without elevating NVH to such high levels.

Street Cast 70A duro

Today we bring you a new option. Introducing our new Street Cast Rear Motor Mount for the 2016+ Honda Civic 1.5 and 2.0-liter engines. This new version of our popular mount utilizes the same high strength design as our Billet mount and is tweaked with softer poly for less NVH.

BILLET VS CAST

Our Billet mount is made from T6-6061 aluminum and is stronger than traditional metal forming methods. Our Cast mount is crafted from a low-pressure die casting and still up to the task. 

90A vs 70A

The 27WON Race version will continue to utilize the Billet machined body with our proven 90A durometer bushings. This is the stiffest option available and offers the most solid and planted feel with the largest reduction in wheel hop, albeit at the expense of some higher levels of cabin noise and vibration.

The 27WON Street version comes with a more modest 70A durometer poly that is much more gentle on the street with lower levels of NVH. While not as stiff as our Race mount, this Cast Street version will still deliver a significant performance upgrade over your OEM mount.
