With downpipes and turbo cars, the philosophy is pretty simple. Bigger is better and that is exactly what we did here. A 3.75” inlet makes this the largest opening for a downpipe on the market ever. Why do you want such a big pipe? Well, it is simple really. Your car’s turbo/exhaust system works on the principle of pressure delta. We want the high-pressure gasses leaving the turbo motivated to move through your downpipe and exhaust. The greater the delta pressure the faster the gasses want to move away from the turbo and out of the exhaust. This downpipe does just that, it motivates. Less pressure in the exhaust helps reduce spool time and makes more power.

Speaking of power, let's look at the numbers. In the graph above we are looking at the same 2018 FK8 with mild bolt-ons, a Kuro, and a simple tune. The only difference between the plots you see is the addition of the 27WON downpipe. Prior to even tuning to optimize for the downpipe we netted over 12 HP and 33 TQ. That’s right, 33 feet pound of torque!!!. That is HUGE!!!. That is some real freaking power you are going to feel. Oh, and did we mention it did all this through the high-flow 200-cell catalytic converter (still, for off-road use only).
We keep heat where it belongs with full OEM heat shield retention. Just unbolt the OEM one from your stock downpipe and bolt it right onto the 27WON unit before installing it with our easy-to-read install instructions. Wrap it up by re-using your OEM support brackets and you get an exhaust component that installs just like OEM.
